Jackie and Tracey’s Perfectly Queer Wedding at The Hall at Fauntleroy

When Jackie and Tracey came to us with their wedding plans, we knew we were in for a treat. Their wedding at The Hall at Fauntleroy was full of queer magic and it was an unforgettable day! We’re excited to re-live it here. (Spoiler alert: there will be a drag queen.)

It all began when Jackie and Tracey met through their mutual friend Tim. They had never crossed paths despite being friends with Tim for years, but after planning his bachelor party together, sparks flew and they quickly realized they were meant for each other. Just a year later, they bought a house, and a year after that, Tracey proposed to Jackie on a serene early morning walk on the beach in Stuart, Florida. The proposal was a perfectly romantic surprise for Jackie—just the way Tracey wanted it.

Jackie and Tracey found their dream wedding venue almost immediately. A casual drive-by of the Hall of Fauntleroy in West Seattle turned into the perfect find. The venue was just a few streets down from their home, which felt like fate. They snagged the last Saturday available that summer, and it was meant to be.

The day of the wedding was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment Jackie and Tracey saw each other for the first time that day to the joyful celebration with their family and friends, everything was perfect. The dancing was a highlight—especially with their fabulous Drag Queen MC, Betty Wetter, who made sure the party was lively and memorable. The heartfelt speeches, toasts, and endless laughter made the day even more special.

One standout feature of their wedding was the lighting expertly provided by one of our favorite vendor duos, Clea and Clayton of Crimson Haze Event Lighting. Initially, it wasn’t on their radar, but after seeing it at the venue’s open house, they knew it was a must. Uplights around the room added a stunning visual impact and set the perfect mood for the evening. Clea and Clayton were on hand to change the colors dynamically throughout the night, which made for an epic dance floor!

Their color palette was as vibrant as their personalities. They chose slow, sweet songs for the ceremony, reflecting their relationship, and handed over the dance floor to their local DJ friends who knew exactly how to get everyone grooving. Every detail, from the food to the napkin colors, was thoughtfully planned, making the whole experience feel like an effortless celebration.

Jackie and Tracey knew they needed a wedding planner who could handle the details while they focused on enjoying their engagement, which is where we came in! With Tracey’s background as an event producer, she appreciated our meticulous attention to detail and our ability to ask the right questions. The planning was seamless, and, according to them, our expertise made the day flawless. (A compliment we will gladly accept!)

The couple splurged on flowers and lighting, and they were absolutely worth it. The flowers added a classy touch and a pop of color, while the lighting transformed the venue’s atmosphere from basic ballroom to top-notch party time. The photos are incredible!

In the end, Jackie and Tracey’s wedding at the Hall of Fauntleroy was a testament to their love and commitment. It was a day filled with radical queer joy, celebration, and the perfect balance of class and fun. Jackie & Tracey said it best: “For two strong, independent, feminist, queer women, Aisle Less Traveled made sure we felt seen, safe, special, and loved.”
